The Upper Street platform court shoe is shaped with a contemporary round toe front, and is available with a 4.5” heel with 0.5” platform or 3.5” heel with 0.25” platform, the heel and the platform create presence and height without compromising on comfort.
Here is our advice and tips on designing your individual platform court shoes online in Upper Street’s shoe designer. Follow these 7 easy steps to guide you through each step of your shoe design:
Step 1 - Pick the right shoe style
Choose the fourth thumb nail option and select the platform court shoe option.
Step 2 - Choose the shape of your upper
You can design your shoes with a D'Orsay or full cut. The D’Orsay cut is where the vamp of the shoe is cut away to show the foot arch, however it isn’t as secure as a classic full cut.
Tip: If you have D’Orsay cut we suggest a strap across the foot or an ankle strap for a more secure fit (see step 5).
Step 3 - Pick a front
Design the front of your platform court shoes by choosing from 8 different options to suit your style. Choose design options such as brogue detailing (which is also applied on the back of the shoe) for a chic office shoe, perfect with a Mary Jane strap. A platform court shoe is great for height, so make it stand out with a toecap to add an extra dynamic stance to the front of your shoe.
Tip: If you want to add studs, you must select the toecap option.
Step 4 - Select the back design
Design the back of your platform court shoe from two different options: the counter back or a plain back. If you want detailing on the front of the shoe, keep the back plain to keep it simple. Alternatively, a counter back creates a dynamic look to the back of your shoe if you want to contrast with different colours and materials.
If you want to add studs to the back of your shoe you need to select the counter back.
Tip: Click on the image of the shoe and rotate it 360 degrees to get a full view from every angle.
Step 5 - Add straps (optional)
We offer four strap options including Mary Jane and ankle straps. If you select the thin strap options you can add a Swarovski diamante trim.
Tip: Ankle straps can be removed on the finished shoes, but not if you add diamante trim.
Step 6 - Start adding colours & materials
‘Sort by materials’ allows you to see the full range of colours available in each material while if you want to look a the range of materials and shades across a palette select by ‘Sort by colour’.
First click on the shoe area then choose a colour or material, remember to colour every part of your shoe.
Tip: Please note that studs can’t be added to animal skin.
At any stage of designing your shoes you can check the cost of your shoe by clicking on the ‘Costs & materials’ button.
Step 7 Add an embellishment (optional)
The final stage, add studs and Swarovski diamante trim to your platform court shoes.
For studs on the front of the shoe, you must have selected the toecap option in step 2, similarly to add studs to the shoe-back, the counter back option must be selected in step 3.
Tip: Swarovski diamante trim is available to select on all straps except wide front strap.
