The Upper Street platform sandal is a contemporary take on the classic sandal that gives height and presence, yet is perfectly balanced for comfort and style, available in 4.5” heel with 0.5” platform with a lower 3.5" heel and 0.25" platform also available.
Here is our 'how to' guide on designing your own platform sandals online in Upper Street’s shoe designer. Follow these 5 easy steps to guide you through each section of your shoe design:
Step 1 - Pick the shoe style
Choose the eighth thumbnail option and click on the platform sandal option.
Step 2 - Select the front design you'd like
Design the front of your platform sandals by choosing from 12 different options to suit your style. If you fancy a twist to your platform sandal, select the gladiator option, (which includes its unique back straps). For the ultimate strappy platform sandal, select the double crossover, alternatively for a simple strap, go for the two thin straps for instant elegance, especially when adorned with a diamante trim.
Tip: If you want to add crystals or studs, you must select plain front, crossover, asymmetric, T-bar and gladiator in Fronts. For a diamante trim, select the weave, double crossover, 2 thin strap, gladiator, and T-bar fronts.
Step 3 - Choose your back: Design the back of your platform sandal by choosing from 6 different options. Choose a dainty gilda strap, which wraps delicately around the ankle and accentuates slim legs. Alternatively, a small counter with strap will instantly flatter your legs. For an easy to wear style, try an easy back strap or select the wide back strap for a bold statement look.
To add Swarovski diamantee to the straps you need to select the gilda strap, small counter with strap, easy back strap and counter with strap so you can embellish in step 5.
Tip: Click on the image of the shoe and rotate it 360 degrees to get a full view from every angle.
Step 4 - The exciting part - design with colours & materials: The colour option is organised in 2 ways: ‘Sort by materials’ which shows our extensive range of materials and ‘Sort by colour’ so you can choose materials based on colour palettes.
First click on the shoe area then choose a colour or material, remember to colour each part of your shoe. The 'Sort by colours' option allows you to search through our categories of blushes, purples, marines, neutrals, metallics, naturals and citrus.
Tip: Please note that studs can’t be added to animal skin.
Prices differ for our standard materials and our premium materials. Please visit our pricing page for further details. At any time of the colouring process, you will be able to click on the "Cost & materials" button to see the cost for each material and extra embellishments.
Step 5 Add an embellishment: The final stage: you can adorn your shoes with studs, crystals and diamante for extra glamour.
For studs and crystals, you must have selected a plain front, crossover, asymmetric, T-bar or gladiator.
For a diamante trim, you should have selected the weave, double crossover, 2 thin strap, gladiator, and T-bar in step 2. For the back in step 3, you must select the gilda strap, small counter with strap, easy back strap and counter with strap.
Tip: You can go back at any point when designing your shoe and select a new option for fronts, back, straps and colours and materials.
